Description
Spring, summer, and autumn are ideal seasons to enjoy your outdoor space with sliding doors and windows made from aluminium profiles. These can be fitted with 5mm or 6mm tempered glass, or you can choose double glazing (16mm glass unit thickness) for better sound and thermal insulation. A single 5mm tempered glass layer typically provides decent weather insulation, while double glazing (16mm thick) improves thermal and acoustic insulation and reduces condensation. That’s why sliding doors and windows are a great addition to your home for year-round outdoor enjoyment.
With framed sliding doors or windows, you can create an open and spacious feel. Easily slide them to one side to let in more fresh air and natural light. On cooler days, simply close them to retain warmth.
Aluminium frames provide durability and strength while being resistant to corrosion. Choose from different frame colors. Standard colors are RAL 7016 anthracite and RAL 8017 brown. For an additional cost, we can paint the frames in any custom color from the RAL palette.
It’s important to note that non-insulated sliding doors or windows with single or double glazing do not offer the same insulation as energy-efficient options such as insulated profile systems with low-energy glass. If energy efficiency is important to you, consider upgrading.
Whatever option you choose, sliding aluminium doors and windows can enhance your terrace and give you the flexibility to enjoy the spring, summer, and autumn months.
When ordering sliding doors or windows, please specify the external frame dimensions, not the opening size. For accurate installation, we recommend subtracting 10–15 mm from the width and 5–10 mm from the height of the opening (if the opening is level).
Track widths:
2-track profile: 62 mm wide
3-track profile: 92 mm wide
