Description
Standard balcony doors are available in two versions: outward-opening with an outside view and inward-opening balcony doors.
Balcony door with an outside view and outward opening: This is the most common version of the balcony door.
When you look at the door from the outside of the building, the glass will be visible, and the door will open outward, away from the room and toward the balcony or terrace.
This type of door provides good access to the outdoor area and allows you to take advantage of the extra space on the balcony or terrace.
Inward-opening balcony doors: Inward-opening balcony doors function the same way as standard balcony doors, but they are installed on the inside of the building, so the glass and door will be visible from inside the room.
This can be a good option for rooms with limited space outside the building or for aesthetic considerations.
Both versions of balcony doors are typically designed with full glass, providing a fantastic view and plenty of natural light into the room.
High PVC thresholds are often used to provide extra insulation and improve the door’s energy efficiency.
It is recommended that standard balcony doors have a width of no more than 1000 mm and a height of no more than 2300 mm.
This is to ensure that the door is stable and easy to operate.
If the doors are larger than 800 mm, they are often equipped with handle brakes, which provide extra safety and help prevent the door from slamming shut when opened automatically.
Regardless of which version you choose, balcony doors will provide elegant and functional access to your outdoor areas while also offering good insulation and energy efficiency.
