Spring, summer, and autumn are the perfect seasons to enjoy outdoor spaces with aluminium-profile sliding doors and windows. They can be equipped with 5 mm or 6 mm tempered glass, or you can opt for a double-glazed unit (16 mm thickness) for improved sound and thermal insulation. A single 5 mm layer of tempered glass generally provides good protection against weather conditions, while a double-glazed unit (16 mm) enhances heat and sound insulation and reduces condensation. This makes sliding doors and windows an excellent addition to your home, allowing you to make the most of your outdoor space year-round.
Using sliding framed doors or windows helps create an open and spacious atmosphere. You can easily slide the doors or windows to either side to open up a room and let in more fresh air and natural light. On cooler days, you can close them to retain warmth.
Aluminium frames ensure durability and strength while also being corrosion-resistant. You can choose from different frame colours. The standard colours are RAL 7016 Anthracite and RAL 8017 Brown. For an additional fee, we can paint the aluminium frames in any other non-standard colour from the RAL palette.
It is important to note that uninsulated sliding doors or windows with single glass panes or double-glazed units do not provide the same level of insulation as energy-saving alternatives, such as windows with insulated profiles and low-energy glass. If energy efficiency is important to you, it is worth considering these options.
Whichever option you choose, aluminium sliding doors and windows can enhance your terrace and give you the flexibility to enjoy it throughout spring, summer, and autumn.
When ordering sliding doors and windows, it is important to provide the external frame dimensions, not the opening size. To ensure proper installation, it is recommended to subtract 10–15 mm from the opening width and 5–10 mm from the height (applies when the opening is level).
