* Sliding Aluminium Doors
Spring, summer, and autumn are the ideal seasons to enjoy outdoor spaces with aluminium-profile sliding doors and windows. They can be equipped with 5 mm or 6 mm tempered glass, or you can choose a double-glazed unit (16 mm total thickness) for improved sound and thermal insulation. A single 5 mm layer of tempered glass usually provides good weather protection, while a double-glazed unit (16 mm) enhances heat and sound insulation and reduces condensation. This makes sliding doors and windows a great addition to your home, allowing you to make the most of your outdoor area throughout the year.
Using sliding framed doors or windows helps create an open and spacious atmosphere. You can easily slide the doors or windows to either side to open up the room and let in more fresh air and natural light. On cooler days, you can close them to retain warmth.
Aluminium frames ensure durability and strength while also being resistant to corrosion. You can choose from different frame colours. The standard colours are RAL 7016 anthracite and RAL 8017 brown. For an additional fee, we can paint the aluminium frames in any other non-standard colour from the RAL palette.
It is important to note that uninsulated sliding doors or windows with single glass panes or double-glazed units do not provide the same insulation level as energy-efficient alternatives, such as insulated-profile windows with low-energy glass. If energy efficiency is a key factor for you, it is worth considering such options.
Whichever option you choose, aluminium sliding doors and windows can improve your terrace and give you the flexibility to enjoy it throughout the spring, summer, and autumn seasons.
When ordering sliding doors and windows, it is important to provide the external frame dimensions, not the opening size. To ensure proper installation, it is recommended to subtract 10–15 mm from the opening width and 5–10 mm from the height (applies when the opening is even).
